It was one of those Monday's in ABP ANANDA, when I used to work there. Das, the security guard was constantly urging me to get in touch with Suman De who was not in office. There was one lady who was calling every five minutes at the reception number and asking for him . Before I could even attend a single call, the woman herself came at the ABP office. We were all standing at the 2nd floor Entrance and she was all frustrated and pissed off and was shouting:
Can I meet Suman? I am being RAPED.RAPED.RAPED.
That was precisely her reason to meet Bengal's most watched news anchor. Because the police questioned her whether she was drunk, the people questioned why she was alone and was making friends with boys.
Suman De ofcourse meet her and interviewed her from behind the back. Her curly hair was what viewer's could see. And the interview became history.
Tmc ministers questioned her character. The news point of that interview was Is it okay for a girl who booze, goes to a night club and fag to get raped?
Pink is based on this single one liner. The characters reflect attributes of a woman called Suzette Jordan who was RAPED RAPED and RAPED and was later regarded as Park Street Rape survivor.
There was Teen kanya by Agnideb Chatterjee which was adapted from this rape incident and here is this story. Oh what a screenplay.Envy you man!
This is far by the best film of Aniruddha Roy Chowdhury. Resurrection of BigB. What a Bollywood debut. Antahin was closer to the bong heart but here in Mumbai when i see non bong crowd applause and laugh and cry with the characters of Pink, i feel proud for you dada.
Soojit Sarkar, i guess you have partially ghost directed this film.
Amitabh Bachchan,Piyush Mishra and Dhritiman Chatterjee in a court scene. What else can we expect?
