CPIM- Ideological crisis and cry within an outsider!!

Unlike other left die-hards, I don’t want Karat-Biman-Budhadeb to throw out of the party or completely disown them for losing a series of election. Yes, what I need is a change of guard from the seniors to fresh faces. A respectful transfer of responsibilities.

The World is changing and so do voters’ who are still inflicted by the “poriborton” bug. If the leadership don’t change with time, if a mental block engulfs their reasoning and if they still can’t prioritize whom to oppose and what to highlight, then it’s the beginning of end. Of course, sympathizers don’t want their long lived “party” to become a “signboard”.

Whom did Prakash Karat vote for in the Delhi elections? There was no CPIM. Karat and company whispered to vote for AAP. The Booth adjacent to Alimuddin Street registered only 55 votes for LF. The party itself is struggling to maintain its national status. CPM gradually reducing to “OTHERS”, what is the definite answer to all the problems?

At a time when ground level workers are getting assaulted each and every day is it not the responsibility of the top leaders to visit them and at least make it a hyped affair in the local and state level? Is it enough for the apex leaders to visist the central election commission and do a dharna in Jantar-Mantar? Why can’t CPIM garner reasonable seats in Delhi itself where Gopalan Bhawan is situated? If AAP can why cant Lefts? Why cannot we see a Karat or Yechury shouting in front of India-Gate?

When a woman in Chapadanga, Tarakeshwar, whose only crime was casting her vote for CPM gets brutalized, her breasts slashed by TMC goons is it not the responsibility of all the leaders to come and condemn the incident and spread it nation wide?

When can we see another mass leader in our party? A leader who shouts, a leader who speaks with clarity, a leader who shows us dream of “Din Bodol”, a leader who even listens.

Of course, CPIM works on collected leadership but what if the leadership gets a mental blockage? What if they don’t understand the ground reality and reviews the mistakes henceforth? In a regimented party, is it possible to raise your voice against the leaders who “know it all” from Marx to Marques, from GDP in India to CMP in Pennsylvania.
Mr. Politburo, the ground staffs feel inferiority complex, please understand the reality.

The leaders will be leaders but what about the supporters? If one fine morning the supporters think that enough of humiliation, this time I am with BJP to bundle TMC and its whimsical supremo. This is not too far. According to 2014 results tally, BJP got the vote share of LF and the consolidated opposition vote bank got divided. In every LS seats, BJP got a fair number of votes which is threatening.

This is almost proven that people want to keep BJP a chance forgetting about what they did in Gujarat. Don’t you think the same goes for TMC? Who were given chance inspite of their anti-TATA stance and Singur debacle? And why not for the left who have earlier episodes of Nandigram, Netai and Morichjhapi?

The problem is lack of branding and PR in the party. Of course, Mr. Politburo is educated, well versed, well read but he hardly has any connection with the mass. The mass who think that a strong makeover is needed to make the party rejuvenate, who think that a strong and bold figure is needed in the forefront along with tactical think tanks and an aggressive ground level force. But alas! Its all about “collective leadership” and these words may become a different note through Chinese whispers of regimentation.

The crisis today is not just one of capital; it is integrally one of the Left, as well.  After a recent series of expulsions and resignations from the International Socialist Organization, a layer of cadre have staked the claim that, today, not only is more necessary from the Left, but more is possible in struggle.

Okay friends, before I round up, a silly effort from a regular joe with an average job to write an idiotic  lyric….cheers!

He likes to smell the Havana but ignores Harowa/
Silly Harowa, silly Harowa, Go and die.

He likes to read Marquez and utter and decipher his phrase/
But cry of little child obliterates, his mother got a bullet
In her thigh/ she may die/ CPM usually don’t get the license to live/
Silly Harowa, silly Harowa. Go and die.

The man loves his “cashew” and some may question “her” Jimmy Choo/
But that’s okay if Belpahari gets to see them close.

When brigade crowds get hyper and the young blood goes cyber/

Hail oh leaders. Bunch of leaders. Ages more than trees.

Chammak Challo harder way!

After my PC demised blogging is not that easy for me. Its more complicated than heliography. Its more tedious than sex chatting with a 60 year old bengali school teacher who comes online just to exchange educational links in gtalk. Blogging had to stay separated from me for some time.

Recently a facebook debate instigated me to write some instant reviews or note or whatever you say on a particular brand- yes a 150 crores corporate brand delivered in Indian Film Industry. The brand has been collaborated with several other brands for mutual benefits and India's biggest 'Baniya' Entertainer is campaigning for it. Indeed the brand is going to shine.

But the problem arises when a few people regard the brand as something called pure art or cinema or great entertainer.I mean come on, few people cannot manufacture our consent. isn't it? Of course I may sound contradictory. Then why may I being so critical abour Raa.one? I actually have some serious reservations against these films which are great brands because of extensive and integrated marketing but actually lack a good script, good acting, good celluloid presentation. I am sorry but I have problem.

Cinema was never a business....thanx to Lumiere brothers it first become a mode of money making.....they used to show film reels around the world in exchange of money...it was in late 18th century....although Lumiers are regarded as the fore father of World Cinema. Then came the age of hollywood studios. The cinema changed into film. actors were no longer artists, they became paid employees of the producer. Charlie Chaplin challenged the system,he showed the world that a good cinema can also be a profitable product.(USA tainted him as a socialist spy). There is no denying the fact that recovering money is neccesary for any project but that doesnt mean that u can sale any shit and call it entertainment....

What srk is doing is sheer insult to world cinema.....today if rahul gandhi makes a trash and market it well, it will also be a superhit opener(a film from gandhi family, produced by manmohan singh, distributed by all india congress) but the merit is only determined after the first week. and those who are saying that srk is a big entertainer,im sorry to say,he is not. if i want to get entertained, i will watch rajni's robot. good movie and hit movie are never synonymous. a lot of things are happening around the world with the medium called cinema....
I am not against avatar or harry potter or not even titanic but cant take raa.one....boss if u can arrange a good script, half the work can be done......

aamir steals script, insult directors, degrade writers, ghost direct films but at the end of the day he delivers a good script! anurag kashyap can never be an srk but at the end of the day, dev.d and no smoking will always be remembered as a milestone in alternative cinema. i am not even talking of majid majidi ,jafar panahi (who is still in jail just to make films against the government of iran)

When lagan was nominated and it didnt won the oscar, yes i was angry..i hated no man's land like anything bt when i saw the film, i tried to control my feelings and started agreeing the very fact that it was better.....there are still a few people left in this world, who fight for good cinema and not only for khans!
