What's wrong in demanding the right to vote in college elections when I have the right to elect my Prime Minister and MPs and even the local corporationwalas?

Do we elect our policy makers without any one of them? DO they get elected as Independent candidates?
If my father can raise his voice against the increasing food prices then why I can't I raise my voice against
the increasing corporatization of education?
